The mobile Carillon

Eric Nuenlist invented this instrument on the occasion of the „Millennium 2000“. It was built by the bell foundry Rüetschi in Aarau (Switzerland). It consists of 18 church bells on one and a half oktaves, plus several halftones. It is played by means of Delrin hammers, and the sound contrary to the Handbells is much louder and sharper, The sound is comparable with the sound of a soft Dutch carillon, due to the soft Delrin hammers (instead of metal).
